Changed the gearbox oil in my S14 box from Redline MT90 to AMSOIL 75W-90 API GL-4. New favourite oil! The box is super smooth now and gear changes less notchy. Good shock loading characteristics and protects the brass synchros as well. Bit pricy tho.

Just been putting more bits on. I thought I'd have more trouble putting the poly bushes in with the strut pivot but, it was fine.

Lining up the pivot bolt and the related lockbolt was difficult to achieve. So I'll come back with a fresh head to deal with it another time 😂

Looking tidy mate. Can’t believe you’ve put that grubby half shaft with out a lick of paint, especially with all that nicely painted and plated suspension parts!!😉

Well, by the time I get it back on the road, i'd have bought new half shafts or at least refurbished these ones with the differential. I wasn't ready to tackle that job if I'm honest 😨

Had a busy old Friday,6.30 am start and 5 & 3/4 hours later she went from a shell to full rolling chassis.
Got her home and started to offer up the arches and front lip just to see! Oh she’s going to have some road presents and make some noise 😁

The 2nd dog leg is finished (well, might need a little filler in a couple of spots).
DSC_0156.JPG

while I was welding the top edge, I couldn't help notice the smell of burning filler, so I had to clean a bit more back.
There was quite a bit of filler and some old scars in my 'good' rear wing. oh well. That's work for later.

Really coming on now,I must crack on with my car as it’s getting embarrassing how quick your getting on :(
Oh no I forgot your retired ;)
Could you explain the smell of burning 🔥 filler as I’ve not experienced that :p

Got my new rear transverse pins in. T3 have come through with a solution to my handbrake issues I've had with their product.

I think I'll torque up the entire suspension next 👍

Been a bit of a faff but I've put a new "retro" cheapie stereo in for tunes and podcasts
AND
Added rear 4" speakers
The speaker mounts are 3D printed and painted same colour as exterior
