Distributor-drive repositioning

Guys, I'm away from a workshop manual. If the oilpump drive has been installed incorrectly can it be pulled out and repositioned.

Asking for a friend.

You will also have to re-time the ignition timing as the same shaft drives the dizzy and it will be in the wrong position. Make sure it's at TDC before removing it.

The ignition timing is why it needs repositioning. Thanks for the reply.

Worth repositioning the ht leads to start it and then see if you can set the timing with the adjustment you have on the distributor
quadrant before dropping the anti roll bar and oil pump
