Use old fashioned Fahrenheit, the numbers are bigger so it feels warmer. Freezing? Nah, it's a balmy 32 degrees!

But I did go out in the garage and clamped top panel on so I could determine the height of the 3 strengthening brackets

Strengthening brackets welded in a few welds to tidy up , then onto the strengthening plate over the steering column, can’t wait to finish this area under the scuttle panel so much work and now ready to move on

Well today had a few hours in the cold garage wasn’t sure what I was going to tackle next on the Z wanted to make the scoop/shield that goes on the panel under the scuttle panel,think it’s there to stop water going in the cold air duct to cockpit.
Made it in small sections as unable to bend and shape it in 1 piece.

Now all welded together just need to grind welds down and see if it fits

Now nearly done pretty happy with how it fits shame it will never be seen

Repair panel now all welded in nice and solid and rust free all epoxy primed a bit of seam sealer to do then ready for the top panel to go on

A little bit more done tonight welded in the strengthening section over the steering column bracket wasn’t to bad but got a couple of welds not too happy with all penetrated well but just went slightly off centre easy to correct or I could just leave them as won’t ever be seen by me again but I just can’t leave them so will sort them in the week
