Wanted Restomod 240/260/280Z

Really regret selling my 240z now but always wanted more power.

So now looking for a good useable modified 240/260/280z preferable with some serious power, RB25, LS1 or similar. Prefer RHD but definitely would consider LHD or converted cars.
My budget is up to £30k for the right car.

Anyone know of anything coming up for sale or would consider selling?

Your old blue car has been with me for the past 8 (?) years in Cardiff. It's still going strong. I never did colour change the white dash nor the front air dam. Part of its history/character and the fact that Neil Parkin bonded the front wings to the chassis with seam sealer as well as the air dam and headlight scoops. I had the head off and changed the valve seats; Mishimoto radiator; 123 ignition. I sorted the exhaust fumes (remember the test drive) by sealing a couple of part open grommet holes in the bulkhead as well as pushing the rear hatch seals from the inside and fabric taping a couple of small tears. Done some work with the SU's and needles but otherwise its fundamentally the same car as you sold to me. I've enjoyed the ownership experience with more tinkering to come. Good luck in your hunt for a new 240z. By the way, Steve/Sam who you bought it off contacted me a few years back looking to repurchase it. He has since bought a white 240z and only very occasionally pops up on this forum.

Thanks for reply it’s really nice to know the car is still being enjoyed and improved. Have regretted selling it. Also nice that Sam has got back into 240z ownership.

Nigel, thanks for the offer. I wish I had the facilities and time to build something from a shell but sadly if I did take it on I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t get done.

Good luck finding something.

But I can't see you getting much good for £30k, this would only cover a small part of what is needed to build a resto modded S30 that actually works, has no issues and is actually good to drive with a rust free body.

I’ve missed out on x3 cars in the last 18 months that would have fit the bill for me. I’m not looking for perfection and don’t mind some work. Equally I maybe able to increase my budget for something special.

Considering there is a left hooker asking price 45k ha ha in standard form
my 260 mint condition 3,2 Rebello and all the other bits to go with it over 300 bhp I think it’s been said
anything remotely decent will be a lot more, matter of opinion obviously but every car has a price
even mine
