I guess that depends on it’s carbon emissions / mile or Km no?
I guess that was sort of my question. Does that still apply if the car is imported? Also, does that differ if the car is new or used?

not at all, all good questions!!

given the 245g /km, the first year’s tax is an eye watering £1,910!!! The DVLA website isn’t very clear about other years onwards ...

assuming it’s no worst than my 3.2v6 I can imagine it’s going to be around the £500/ year mark.

The £1,910 applies to the vehicle if it was registered as a new vehicle in the UK, as these vehicles would be coming in as, I assume used, would the first year rate still apply?

When I enquired with Torque GT (who import high end cars often) they said they'd be looking to import second-hand 6month+ old cars on delivery mileage. Presumably this is to get around some of the aforementioned faff. If someone is serious about importing one, let me know and I can pass on the details of the chap who's doing it. Sounds like there'll be a few coming over at least!
