How to get your Tach to work with modern ECU signals

Hi Russel,

I'm about to start installing the PCB in my tacho. This step is a little unclear for me: Did you remove that induction coil from the circuit and threw it in the bin?

Just seen this but I'm sure you have worked it out now. you just bin the induction coil and solder the new boards input directly onto the post with some wire.

Yes, I asked too quickly, mine does not have an induction coil. So I just omitted that step :)

Mine and yours were not exactly the same, but close enough :D

Thanks for the replies and thanks for the offer Jon. Sounds like I should be able to get it working with a resistor. Have you used a resistor Rob?
