Cleaning dash frame

Apart from sitting for hours with sandpaper. How is everyone cleaning up the rust and crap off the dash frame and generally making it look a bit nicer. Not that you'll see it once it's all together [emoji1787]

Dremel it is then. Any recommendations on paint of coatings to put on?

Personally, I would just get the metal as good as you can, then coat with a zinc primer maybe, then do it all matt or satin black. How good is the actual dash?

The dash itself is really good. Needs a good clean though.
