240Z fuel tank breather hoses

Hi. Any reason why you wouldn’t have just attached to that pipe? Not sure what the carbon capture is for. Mine is a USA import. Guess yours is too. G

To minimise tank fumes venting to the engine bay. In theory, if you have a carbon canister to absorb most of the fumes, it minimises risk of ignition.

The carbon capture was all part of an emissions system to prevent these fumes being released into the air.

Mine is also an import. As far as I'm aware, UK/European cars didn't have this system.

Thanks Paul. Yes, I’ve already got this. Just wasn’t sure I connected the small end to the carbon capture pipe under the car.

Oh hang on.. just realised that's this one isn't it?

I found this one, it's 17mm each end and 8mm in the middle, the proper one is 19mm 17mm and 10mm in the middle.

I don't suppose you remember where you found this do you? I can't for the life of me find a brass or stainless one in 17-8-17. Closest so far is 16-8-16.
