Does anyone have any ideas where to get Rota 16x8 et10 or similar without spending a fortune importing from the states? Rota UK don’t seem to bring them in, anywhere in Europe?

I'm also interested in this. My 0mm offset 16x8mm rubs even with rolled arches. I run a 225 mm tire. I will not use a 205 as that is too narrow for a 8inch wheel.

Option one is to find a +10mm 16x8 wheel which seems to be very difficult! I see that Minilite are now producing 16x8 with some custom offset. But the 8 inch can't be choosen with +10mm.

Option 2 is to use a 7 inch wheel with 205s. I know this is quite silly, but most 8 inch wheels look much better to me.

It's difficult, if the question was aimed at me.

Almost all wheels have 0mm offset in these dimensions. At least the ones who fit this car style wise to me. Many modern wheels have quite large positive offset. If I could find somewhere around 15-20mm on a wheel a spacer would work fine...

I think I was asking anyone that had opinion [emoji4] I thought of it because my 17" compomotive minilites have a big +ve offset but came with custom spacers to put them in the right place in the arch.

Atara are looking at 16" options. But will most likely be 8J and zero offset.

Market forces dictate the sizes that are most likely to sell...

Sadly there is at least 200 USD extra in shipping and import charges of 50 USD per wheel for me.

Nice find though

After months of looking for something Rota like in et10 I’ve drawn a blank, so took the plunge on 16x8s et0. I’ve fitted an old tyre to see how everything fits (or doesn’t). Could only get hold of 215/55/16. With the BCs fully dropped (approx 50mm) and at full camber adjustment I get a measurement of 120mm from rim edge to arch. Raising the suspension the tyre starts to interfere with the body work at 60mm, so 60mm travel used from full sag.
The arches have been turned up, but not fully rolled, with 205s I should get a touch more clearance, but tbh I reckon I could live with this.

Nice paint. Daft question but what are you trying to achieve with the wheels, are you going for a really low stanced look.

No not after the stanced look, I’m only looking at about 40mm of drop, but as I had the shocks fitted without the springs I just thought I’d see what happens when you compress the suspension. There is still another 50mm of damper travel avail at that point. Anyone who drops the car will have similar geometry under compression.

I threw in the towel with the 225s. Saving those for the MG race car instead.

Bought a set of 205/55/16 Yokohama AD08RS. 380 GBP at Deman tweaks. That's pretty damn good.

So going from 225/50/16 (or maybe 45, can't remember), the width difference not insignificant!

Tyres are at the shop right now. I will lower the car max and report back later in the week!

Is it rubbing on both sides, must be quite low.
No, only on the right side it seems. I will go over the lip with the roller again. This is doable I think.

That said, beware that the AD08 tyres are very wide for their spec. Like most r-compound tyres, R888, A048 etc.
