Front grill is not finished yet.

Waiting for some stainless steel rod to come so I can make up a frame for the top part.

I also discovered that the passenger side wiper stalk has damaged threads so I will need to run a die down that before installing the wiper arm properly.

One of my favouite quotes from earlier on in the thread 'If even this is too difficult for you, you might want to give up now.'
Guess you're still not giving up. It's all gone quiet over there.

Can't recall who the quote is from, but it's there somewhere. Was just commenting on the fact that despite your sometimes outrageous, funny, oddball posts about this 'restoration' you've not received any positve support from the, to put it politely naysayers. We've (you've) gone from this
to this'
Hope that die your going to run over the threads has been handcrafted in Japan from original nissan specs, else the car will be worthless.

Decided on mounting mirrors to the doors and not the wings....

Did not really want to drill into the doors, but practically it will be best whilst driving....

Anyway......

How far from the front of the door should I mount them?

Stunned silence, perhaps? As in, can't believe nothing has really improved...

Looks like you're all for the 'Everyone's A Winner' culture, where Rudy can't fail (for fear he'll get PTSD) and there are 10 gold medals for every 10 runner race? Meanwhile I still see poor work on top of bad taste, as well as inept choices in a similar vein to the clutch master cylinder debacle (a disaster declared a victory).

And I'd be careful of bringing back quotes from three years up-thread if I were you, as the nay-sayers have a lot of ammunition to choose from.

Not that it really matters in the context of this thread but nope. Nae hyphen in naysayer either, that a traditional enough value for you?

Nice to finally hear from you....

I thought you had gone for a really long sleep.

My goodness you always just sound sooooo miserable.

I also happen to think the car looks great....
:).

Puts a smile on my face anyway.

Can someone please identify these wires for me please coming from drivers side footwell and coming from stereo.

I would love to know if they connect up please.

Coming from the loom in the footwell there are 2 loose wires: 1x brown, and 1xblue both with bullet connectors.

Then there is also a loose plug in the same place with 2 wires going to it:
1x green with white stripe, and 1x red

Was in the foot well of mine earlier, and i have these same unused wires, no idea what they are actually for tho Im afraid!

Okay thank you for that.

That makes me feel a lot better.

However do you also have the black and, black and red wires from the centre console stereo unattached as well?

Still not decided on placement of the mirrors....

I think they will end up on the doors though.

Can not see anything with them mounted on the wings! ><.

Really did not want to drill into the doors... ><.

Radiator was in and out 3 times and only just finished work on the car half an hour ago.

I need to adjust the radiator tomorrow so back out again!

It sits nice and top holes line up.

Bottom holes are half a mm out....

I think this was just to it having a new panel welded in along the bottom.

Oh well....

Not much left now.....

:).

Mirrors need to go on the doors - you know it just do it. Most of us have our mirrors on the doors.

Also you have enough 'going on' at the front re styling.
