bore measuring

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced tool they have used before for measuring bores to see if they are worn/ovaled?

I paid about £35 for a "reasonable" bore mic set...they can go up to many £hundreds but if all you want is something to indicate deviation then its fine

Thanks Steve,
I was thinking that a company might charge a bit to measure the motors bores so if I could do it myself with a bit of practice it would cost the same but I would end up owning the measuring equipment if that makes sense???
I'm on with my engine again and was going to have it honed anyway but thought that was pointless if the cylinders were bellied out in the middle...............

dial indicator mounted on a turret mill centered on crank dead centre looking down the bore. You dont actually need a turret mill as such just a steady rest of any kind that won't shift as you rotate the indicator !
