Who said Automatics were not for Track Days?

I wouldn't have gone if my bigbrakes weren't fitted the night before - they were just too scary. With the 330mm and standard pots but with Jaguar DS2500 pads - the car was so stoppable. Big brakes? A no brainer. Donners - my fave circuit on bike and car.

Who said Automatics were not for Track Days?

National Circuit - too short really. Yes the low profiles don't squash do they? having said that the cars seem fairly well planted under driving hard. I suppose that's what you get with a road car, albeit a 'supercar' in it's day. Tougher springs would stop the roll but then I'll not be...

Who said Automatics were not for Track Days?

Did Silverstone in mine last Sat. Awesome day - once I changed from the nutters group to the more genteel!! The Zed was an unknown quantity to me in terms of tractibility and overall performance - so this was justa fact finding mission. We had the Gold Track day which was 2 groups on every 30...

    Squeaky Horn!

Dunno about you - but the first time I sounded my Zed horn I nearly died with embarassment. I was expecting a manly 'BLAAHHHHHHRRRRRGGGGGHHH' but all I got was Graham Norton in a tight skirt screaming 'Hiyaaaa!!' Does anyone know why the Japs fitted such pathetically shrill set of horns on a...

I love it when the big boys want to play

What about a Zondari or Keonissan? or Veyronarigini? Perhaps more exotic - Xentralisini or Draxilago? (sounds a bit medicinal) Something simple - 'Jusswottheellisthat' I was gonna ask that teacher from the Sudan what I should name the car but then I thought, nah...............

I love it when the big boys want to play

Thanks - I ditched the new-ish Jade Rs that were on it the day I bought it - no regrets on the wheels. People just don't know what car it is - I'm going to start winding people up now by inventing makes - any suggestions??

    Strong smell of petrol

Found the leak. It was the small inline fuel filter with a couple of hoses that were loose. Tightened them up and it stopped pouring out. Now I miss the smell so much I've just bought an Unleaded Fuel Air Freshener for the cockpit............ BTW - is there anything that is accessible on the...

I love it when the big boys want to play

Took my Zed 300 TT out for a little run yesterday down the M4. Kept a sedate 70mph minding my own business. Then I spots him. Big fat yellow Lambo Countach doing about 65 ahead of me. He slows and forces me to pass. No problem. Then true to form he moves to lane 3 and creeps past me like he's...

    Strong smell of petrol

Fitted 2 new Oxy sensors today - leaving overnight with battery off so the ECU will lose it's memory?? Hope it's not an urban myth. I'm scared in case the car forgets who it is tomorrow morning!! Anyhoo, I'll let you know if there's any difference to the soot that's making the zorst and rear...
