DVLA has it listed as black but I don’t think they were available in black when new? Any evidence of the original colour? Untaxed since 1992. Jeez, these things really are still out there. Look forward to seeing more pics of the work done. :):)

POR - Paint Over Rust. If there isn't any rust, then don't use it. I've never got on with it either.

That looks bloody superb. I don't know if it's the photos but that colour looks just right - not too bright, IMO. Looks to have been a very good spray shop you entrusted with the work. Good luck with fitting the rest of it out.

Saw an original condition, brown Chevette at the recent NEC show on one of the stands - those things were so small, unlike a Chevelle.

Maybe put a wanted ad in the relevant section on here - there’ll be the right bits lurking on a shelf somewhere I’m sure. Nice if they were metal as well …

As said, there are a few around as lots of owners go the other way - I prefer the understated look at the front as well, we are out there!
