Some more work done today. Finished off my replacement shelf install waiting on a capacitor for the amps that will go on the left and then installed the amp for my speakers behind the drivers seat.

Good morning all.
I thought I would update on my Zed build since it is still on here and I still check back on the group regularly. During the lockdown I have had some extensive work going on fitting all the parts I’ve had in the shelf for years and tucking more in the engine bay. A quick...
A little update as I managed to get a few days in the car.
Replaced the alarm and it's working just got to sure in the intellistart.
Picked up some new boost pipes which the colour coding suggests they are HKS ones :)
Japspeed decats went on
Redline MT-90 oil change on the gbox
Millers...
So many people have started out this way and it's the way to go :) there is plenty of help on here for when you get stuck on something. I have my Zeds parked up in a workshop I rent and it is just ideal.
Good luck with it and get a build thread started up so we can all follow the progress :)...
The only issue I have with the standard bumper is with aftermarket intercoolers I think it restricts the airflow somewhat which is the reason I would change it. Either way everyone is entitled to do their own thing and if all our Zeds looked the same we would be like the Honda's I see at the...
Intercooler wise a lot of people are against front mounts firstly as it is not to their taste and secondly an illusion that it creates cooling issues as it sits in front of the radiator. You will get arguments for and against all day long which hold no evidential first hand proof.
Side mount...
On top of that injectors would require an upgrade as although it has been done to get 430bhp iirc from standard injectors it will then become the part under strain if you try to push on standard ones. So as long as the intake is running on a dual intake and the rest of the parts were of good...
The trans would handle that power easy enough but clutch/flywheel could do with an upgrade to cope with the power.
Turbo wise the core charge would mean you send in your old turbos after you got the new ones but again ball bearing type like these again would be further improvement...
A first step upgrade in the turbos would be the JWT 500s

Cost about £1500 maybe to get them to your door
Yes quite simply as it will a lot easier to achieve higher HP with aftermarket turbos. Thing is cost and you start getting into the price range of at least over 1k for new aftermarket turbos and secondhand they come around every leap year. The question is where do you stop. I have an engine...
Just a point to note as well there is an engine builder in the south that I'm pretty sure is about 3k labour to build an engine as a close friend of mine enquired about having his built that already had the bottom end built. I couldn't think to pay someone that amount to build an engine and am...
