can I fit an extra silencer?

That is loud and honestly I can't imagine what it sounds like inside a stripped out 70s car. Owning a car with an S54 in and knowing first hand how loud that can be gives me an idea. Have you changed plans and decided to sell up instead? Saw the car on FB marketplace.

Completely agree, I'm still firmly of the belief that regardless of being exempt from an MOT or not it is better to put a car through an MOT. Yes, the standard of driving on the road these days is just shocking, partly one of the reasons I am not keen to go out and buy another motorbike.

Wow that has some questionable repairs. I've come across issues like this myself where I have been forced to scrap a shell because once we started digging in to it it just became apparent that it would cost way more to rectify all the issues than to cut my losses and find another shell to work...

    Greetings from Sydney

I think based on your climate, in the UK the winters can be quite harsh, salt on the roads etc, something you guys wouldn't have over there. Most S30s will have been around for 55-45 years and would have seen a lot of seasons meaning a lot rotted away resulting in the remaining cars commanding...

    Greetings from Sydney

Welcome! Definitely jealous of you being in Australia, having been to Sydney and having family out there I borrowed their car while there, ironically a Golf as well, think it was a 2008 R32, and really enjoyed driving on the roads out there, although I know the Police are pretty hot on...

TML 280S - Have you seen it?

If they are still paying the storage person by standing order for the storage surely they have the name of the person who's account it is going in to? Unless the person they are paying is off-grid, a bit of time on google would probably turn up a few leads. I would suggest that the person who...

    Thoughts on South African cars

I think it's very model/marque specific to be honest. A couple years ago my dad purchased a 1968 Fiat 124 Coupe AC which was from SA, UK models were very thin on the ground and a SA version made perfect sense due to the climate and being RHD. I am sure he could have got one from Europe but...

    S30 WhatsApp group (UK)

I'm on a WhatsApp group for my other car but then I don't really use the associated forum. They are really useful to be honest, especially when it comes to shows, quick questions that don't warrant a forum posting etc. I can definitely see the merit in them but of course wouldn't want it to be...

    240Z/260Z front suspension strut

Yes, from what I understand the early UK 260z suspension was the same as the 240z suspension.

    Front spoiler

Can't speak of DS Composites but bought mine from Classic Composites in France, fit and finish are spot on. I'm not sure if Alex is posting to the UK now as I had to get mine delivered to me when I was skiing in the Alps last year.

    Sharing of V5 number

Never share V5C ref number, they can do a lot with it and would leave you wide open. You've done the right thing not disclosing it. If they are serious about it and you have been upfront with them they can see the V5 when they come to view but there should be no reason for them to have that...

    Matching Numbers?

Matching numbers to me would be the engine the car originally had fitted when it left the factory. To be honest, whilst it's a nice thing, I'd rather a good engine.
