    Strut Cartridge Guidance

Thanks for the info. I was not aware that this type of strut insert existed - thought they were all sealed on S30's. The 'tuning' aspect seems over complicated for the average owner - was it for a specialised application i.e. for competition use? I can't find anything in FSM's regarding setting...

    Strut Cartridge Guidance

Hi, I'm after some guidance on a strut cartridge please. The Nissan part number is 56210-E8126 and I've attached some photos. I could only find the attached reference table on this website www.jdmjunkies.ch. So it appears to be a firm/hard suspension cartridge for Europe but for use in...

    Piston Damage

Thanks Jon - I'll leave it to the professionals to remove any burrs. Yes Rob, they are a set of Nissan 0.5mm over bore pistons and con-rods. Bought them along time ago now - I'm having a clearout at the moment and may let them go so wanted to make sure they can be sold as a complete set.

    Piston Damage

Hi all, I have a set of replacement L24 pistons/con-rod assemblies but noticed that one of them has got several indentation/impact marks restricted to a small area between piston top and between the ring grooves - see photo. No idea how this happened - probably was there when I bought them some...

Aux Throttle Shaft on Balance tube

Can someone please explain what the parts high-lighted in yellow do. The S30 parts illustrations I have (attached) dont show these extra parts. Please post any illustrations if you have one. Thanks in advance.

240Z UK front indicator lamp seal gaskets

Yes they're the ones. I can't find anything on Google so I guessed none were available. I was thinking of forming a thicker gasket mating surface by adding material around the internal surface of the housing and then cutting a new gasket out of rubber sheet. I'll have to give it some more thought.

R180 Differential Pinion Oil Seal Issue

Yes defo is R180. I decided to proceed and fit the companion flange and fully torqued the pinion nut as specified in the manual this morning. I then removed both and the oil seal appears to be a tight fit now - I certainly can't pull it out using my fingers and I dont want to use an oil seal...

R180 Differential Pinion Oil Seal Issue

I purchased a new SKF 13978 oil seal from Rockauto but when I fitted it today it literally just slid in without giving much resistance at all. Now the manual says to use an oil seal drift so there should be some resistance when installing it obviusly to ensure that there is a good seal so I'm a...

R180 Differential Side Flange Bolt O-ring Replacement

Need some guidance regarding the replacement of the small o-rings please. The atttached guidance referes to the o-ring (part no. 3) being 'triangular'. I'm not sure whether this is true or whether the existing one in the picture has just been deformed to this shape due to the chamfered edges on...

    240Z Rear Suspension Part Query

That's the problem - it's not shown on the fiche. Four of them are required which makes me think it has something to do with 20/21/22 perhaps? It applies to all years covered on the fiche. It's a mystery to me.
