What were the times?? I must admit I found it a lot harder than it looks. From doing track days, I though just driving in a straight line would be easy, which it is - unless you want quick times!

Only broke 1 W58 so far on a track day, they don't seem too bad. I have a bmw box (GS6-53DZ) and an adapter waiting in the wings if it goes again.

Was a great show, my son loved the r/c drift cars ... definitely on the christmas list.. Great to catch up with some familiar faces again too!

Ordered a stand ticket anyway - so fingers crossed!

good luck with it mate, hope it was just the turbos and new ones solve the problem. I read that valve stem seals can cause the 'lift off' smoking. But as with everything on the internet, you can worry too much once you start looking for problems!

I'm sure you might have done this already, but have you liquid electrical taped or heat shrinked your coil packs? They get hairline cracks quite easily from getting hot an brittle, which can cause misfire. I did both and they have been great. You can get aftermarket coilpacks a bit cheaper now...
