I always got mine 'pre-mot'd' with a bill to prove it and will do with this one. Same as Status, it gives history to the car and finds stuff I may well miss on the safety side.

Why not actually get an MOT? surely a pre-MOT is as much effort as an MOT?

The guy who looked after it did it as the same time as servicing and doing the work I couldn't manage so it came as part of the work he did, not as another expense.

With regard to MOT, find a local old school mot station that has been doing mot's for years. Someone that knows old cars and the things to look for. Stay well clear of the big chains as they will not have a clue what they are looking at.

Wot he said.

I was actually looking for a different garage when I spoke to this guy who started telling me about about the car and the engine series in them. We were passing the time waiting for the other garage to open! I was so impressed that I asked him if he wanted the work (which I suppose was what he was after anyway) and he agreed. Kevin is 55, single handed ex Renault apprentice who works on anything, has an opinion on everything...... but is a really good mechanic who gives a really good service. Like gold dust these days...........................

Ended up getting a set of orange lenses from a member (same as what klearz offer), installed them today. Was quite a faff taking out the old brittle lenses, but the new ones are great.
