Hi There..
Shame we didn't get to meet and look at this car on the August Bank holiday Sunday :(
What engine does this have?

Cheers,
Bob

Cleaning this up - a reminder that 'For Sale' threads are for questions between buyers and sellers, not general discussion.

If only i had somewhere to put it.. Can't replace the 7 seater with this, and would want this to be garaged..
Just not quite ready for this yet, even though everything else about it is perfect for me, even the year

I have now got my new car so i will take offers around 18000 pounds for my 2602/2 fairlady
So it is a Fairlady 2/2 (like mine) not a 260z. If your condition is like mine and bearing in mind prices of use able classics have increased over the last year, I would be advertising this externally for £20k to £25k, especially if the air con is working. Mine is now insured in this range.

The car had very little interest on here so i thought i would auction it and then i know what the market dictates for the car.

Hi, I hope you don't mind, I just had a look at your advert on CC, I think you may get more hits if you put the word Datsun in the Heading as it is showing as a Nissan Fairlady and I had difficulty finding it, as I assumed I would find it by looking for a Datsun 260/280

And there's the rub. The car *is* a Nissan. It is a 'Nissan Fairlady Z-L 2/2'. It is not a 'Datsun' and it is not a '260Z'.

The question here is whether the seller describes it accurately (and possibly limits sales potential) or describes it inaccurately (to maximise sales potential).

Sticklers like me think of the latter as dumbing down, but if he wants to sell the car he may indeed have to cater for the fact that, with a car like this, people generally don't know what they are looking at.

Maybe..... For sale JDM Nissan Fairlady Z-L 2/2 (Comparable UK market car would be recognised as a Datsun 260z 2+2)

As long as the subsequent description is honest and accurate - I personally dont think the title has a great deal of standing.

Its there to draw in prospective punters and work in search engines and algorithms - and should include all the terms a layman might use or recognise...

JDM Nissan Fairlady Z-L 2/2
Datsun 240z 260z 280z S30 GS30 2+2 .......................... Samuri

Description

This is my Nissan Fairlady Z-L 2/2'. It is not a 'Datsun' and it is not a '260Z'.
( And probably isnt a samuri - but with a lick of paint and a letter .........)
