As seams to be typical, sunny all day then heavy rain just before the track session yesterday evening at brands hatch. Tiptoed around regardless and after a couple of hour conditions improved. So in the end it turned into a great opportunity to use the car close to its limits. The car performed very well and got the chance to improve the mapping at high loads. I do need to think about improving the rear brakes to help the fronts out a little. Here's a vid for your entertainment. I seamed to have lost concentration as the evening went on and although i was enjoying myself, my lines were not great. Cant wait to improve on the next session.

I enjoyed that John. I miss trackdays but not the weather issues.

Can I just point out to all the lemon juicers amongst the group that you can buy a food grade critic acid online for very little. It's much less messy than lemons, and more efficient at that. Plus it's fun to put in people food or drinks. My kilo bag has lasted for years of removing rust off parts and bolts, and cleaning kettles and washing machines for those inclined.

Is citric acid better than coke or vinegar?
I've never used vinegar on stuff, but a quick internet search reveals that it's less effective than citric acid in rust removal.
At around £5 for a kilo of granules delivered it's much cheaper than coke. But I can't answer for cokes effectiveness, it's never in our household.

Been doing a bit more on the air box with my surfboard mate .

now its a bit clearer and has some carbon fibre around the open edges to give it more stiffness and have also tweaked the bottom plate design to sink the trumpets in a bit and used Perspex that's a bit more petrol resistant,

I had to take my airbox off to adjust the throttle linkage, so I thought I'd try it with just the open trumpets. It uses less fuel like this compared to the airbox, so its less powerful but its definitely more noisy.

Sounds awesome JB!!! Wish we could safely run open trumpets.

Just serviced the A4 with a K&N filter I put in 6-8k miles ago and the crud I pulled out of the filter’s folds was really very scary (and sandy/gritty).

loving your car Jon! I’m sure the camera doesn’t do it justice but it looks like it picks up really well!
