I reckon having no front indicators should be an MoT failure. It needs a grill too.

Doesn’t need an MOT though does it? So one can get away with all sorts! Agree it should have them though, and they look unfinished without a grille.

Still needs them to comply with Construction and Use Regulations though. Not needing an MoT test does not give exemption from compliance.
Just takes a passing Plod with an interest and a bad attitude!

Do we think the price guide is correct though?

My guess is that it will make 18k plus fees so sell for £20,500. Complete estimate based on the market and pictures. What do you think it will sell for?

Those springs are almost coil-bound standing still. I've experienced that with some Tokico springs that were on a 240 I bought.

I'm wondering if this is a car that Terry Taylor bought about 5 years ago?

I’m probably less fussy than many - without kicking the tyres or underside, I think in the current market that’s great value for an easy project RHD S30; if without major rust. I wouldn’t let a few bolt on missing bits put you off if the car is in good shape.

It also depends on how good the new paintwork is too.

ps. It’s also missing cill scuff panels / plates and some of those shut lines need a closer look - just to be a little fussy ;)

That could be a decent project to finish appropriately, especially now having seen the old thread when Terry owned it and the work he did. The outcome of the auction might be quite illuminating - beats the estimate, meets the estimate, doesn't sell. Will provide some talking points at least!

They could've at least given it a pressure wash underneath for the photos though! And the engine bay for that matter! Also, interesting paint booth they were using for the respray...

Well yes it is my old car, the pictures on the advert look very familiar, sure there the ones I used when I sold it a couple of years back even the blue strap on the battery and the mud under the arches looks like it's had a cheap blow over handles as well and still has the hs6 carbs, same wheels and everything
