1980 280zx - new gearbox question

I can't find on the site information about possible alternatives now my original gearbox has gone to pot.
I could find this on the site previously in the 280 section. Direct me please to good info. 6 speed alternative welcomed... I'm good on motors but crap on this tech ! Digger280

I'm not 100% sure it would fit a 280zx, but there's a couple of guys in the US make adapters to the 350z CD009 gearbox which I think is a 6 speed.

Think it is Mike,might be slight difference on early or the later box,might have to change the drive shafts to 280zx ones,been ages since I did mine and as I’ve got older me brain has gone so can’t remember things I did years ago

That's the Hoke Performance conversion kit, its now sold through Zcar Garage in California. It is the 6 speed from the 350Z, looks like a great setup but takes up the entire transmission tunnel.

You can also modify and fit the 6 speed from an S15 however it's not well documented over here.
