A 'clip' is a section of a bodyshell cut from a car. A section of a RHD car with a VIN number is highly prized by unscrupulous characters.

excuse my ignorance Rob never heard of a clip do you want to buy it then? ;)

No comment on the rust in the seams then ?

That's what every Z is like in seams that don't get opened up. I had similar when I took the LHD bulkhead panel out of my project. If it had stayed LHD like most CA imports, that would still be festering in there, no matter what the rest of the car looked like. It's why I consider there to be no such thing as a rust-free Z.

Very true Richie
No such thing as rust free,my car will be close but there will be areas where there’s bound to be some rust lurking in existing seams :(:beatdeadhorse:

I love how accurate you appear to be with a spot weld removal drill! I'm definitely getting better but it is an art.

Semi-serious question as you mention Derrick: Why are there soooo many spot welds on that strengthening plate? Did they spot weld to a template or was it just free form and someone was bored on a Friday afternoon?!
