Weld in Adjustable top Mounts

So the BC Coilovers don't give much in adjustability at the top. Is there a UK source of weld in plates?

If I don't put them in I know I will need them

Plates that give access to the coilover adjustments would do the job is anyone knows of any in the UK

I have a set of Arizona Z weld-in camber plates on the other Z project. They are $99 per side. Sadly not available without shipping from the US

I've seen quite a few people cut a small area of the top of the struts out in order to gain access to the cambet nuts. The strut towers would need some extra strengthening if you went down that route.

I have the T3 bolt in top mounts with my BCs.

You still have to cut the towers a bit, but it's easier than a set of weld ins. Another option.

Will this be strong enough?
I would place a shim on top just to be safe. With the top mounts you have you increase the stress on the tower due to it lacking any damping. The stock top mounts use rubber bushings to lessen the impact, your coil overs are solid mounted.

I've seen a few balooned strut towers on the tracks after people hitting curbs too hard, it could happen on a pot hole on the street as well. Better safe than sorry is my take on this.

Side question, did you use the T3 camber plate upper hats with your BC's or do they mount fine with the appropriate hardware?

I used the T3 upper hats. With the needle roller bearings on top for the front.

T3 can make the top mounts for several different coil overs, just supply the diameter of your damper shaft.

I’m using stock BC hardware, pillowball I think they call it, they seem absolutely fine unless you’ve got the money burning a hole in your pocket. I’ve also enlarged the top to get at the adjusters and sandwiched it with one of Sean’s strut braces.

Yeah, but you are not using the T3 camber plates. They are 4 bolt and allow for greater adjustment. Not saying it's needed.
