Wow yes, we can see the terrible fires but I didn't think about you! It must be very worrying and uncomfortable. How far away from you are they atm?
Thanks Rob, we are about 50 miles from the nearest fire. All of these fires are in heavily forested areas or open grass lands that move fast due to high winds. Not much chance of any of these fires coming east of Sacramento due to fuel starvation but the smoke is very heavy and low to the ground, like fog. Visibility down to a few hundred yards at times if the wind is blowing just right. The amount of land that has burned is just staggering, 800,000 acres on one fire and 300,000 plus acres on several more fires. No chance of rain in sight although the daily temps are coming down which will help. We will probably be dealing with this for another month as peak fire season has just begun now!!!
Thanks Robbie, which front spoiler did you use????

My plan was to keep the front valance and use a bolt on front air dam like a BRE.
like thisThere isn't a spoiler on Robbie's car in that picture.
The car now has a valance with a 240z style grill and I have removed the indicators
Thanks Sean, so it that a custom grill below the front bumper or a 240 grill????......my standard grill on the 280 does not go down that far.Beauty and the beast !
And unfinished yet.

Perhaps make one from another spare? I notice that your 280 appears to have a small grill at the bottom of the opening?
Thanks for the follow up Sean. Not at all easy considering the type of metal used in the OEM grilles. As Mark said - mine is a Skillard 'with' indicator cut-outs.
