I haven't done one, but actually they did one at Northampton Motorsport while we were trying to figure out where the misfire was coming from.Compression test?

It was 220 - 240 for 4 of the cylinders and 0 for cylinders 4 and 5. I'm pretty sure it'll be 220 - 240 across the board now - I know there was no valve/piston contact.
8695, 8695, 8695.....remember to keep it 5rpm under this time
Took the time to fix a few of the electrical glitches that I’ve been meaning to do ever since getting the car I now have a working driver’s side door courtesy light, full illumination on all the instrument lights, and the blower motor is now back in action.
The only remaining snag now is the main beam light has packed in. I have small hands and skinny arms, but even I can’t get up to the top rear of the speedo where the bulb lives. I made a “special tool” to push the dangling speedo illumination bulb back in (kind of a forked end on a bent piece of rod) but getting the main beam holder out is a different kettle of fish!
Does anybody have any better way than lying on your back in the driver’s footwell, back arched out over the sill and back of head jammed against the pedals? I’d be interested to hear..
Also made up my new relayed headlight harness. Just waiting to get the plugs sorted and it’s ready to go.
Power windows, aircon and cruise control !Got back onto the grey 260z. Fitted heater box dash and started to fit the new loom.
It takes about 5mins to drop the clock right out, usually only a couple of screws, one in the bezel and another on the underside of the dashTook the time to fix a few of the electrical glitches that I’ve been meaning to do ever since getting the car I now have a working driver’s side door courtesy light, full illumination on all the instrument lights, and the blower motor is now back in action.

I'm 6'2" and weigh about 16 stone so I feel your pain! I found it easier removing the driver's seat, just four bolts - very quick and easy. I ended up popping the Speedo out of the dash, again quicker and easier.Does anybody have any better way than lying on your back in the driver’s footwell, back arched out over the sill and back of head jammed against the pedals?
Beatiful! That sounds incredibleMy engine is running again, hooray!
A couple of hundred quids worth of lashpads and valve retainers later
Mmmm..now I’m confused (easily done, admittedly) but my speedo has two wing nuts on the back, one low down next to the brake warning light and one tucked right up at the top to the left of the main beam warning light. (As seen from the rear) Are you talking 260Z with the screws, or...??It takes about 5mins to drop the clock right out, usually only a couple of screws, one in the bezel and another on the underside of the dash
Yeah, I think I removed the seat last time I did this many years ago. I think it was relatively comfy laying on the floor with my feet up in the luggage area - then again I’m only 5’ 7” and 11 stoneI'm 6'2" and weigh about 16 stone so I feel your pain!
