Just seen the trailers for the new series and if I am not mistaken It looks like one of the cars they will be doing is a 300ZX, Z32 along with a Datsun Roadster.

The roadster is on Monday 31 August but dont know about the Z32.

Not sure what the point was in all that.

My thoughts exactly. Not watched a wheeler dealer since Edd left, this feels a little odd as I really liked watching Edd. Not sure why they took a tastefully modified car and fitted the smog stuff back on. Wasn't the best watch.

The why was pretty clear to me. They are based in California and the rules there mean to sell it there it had to have the smog stuff fitted. In Oregon where the car was delivered new that wasn't the case. Looking at the weather I'd rather live in California than Oregon.

I thought it was fun - great to see a whole episode devoted to a Z32. There was more than one way to skin this cat and
at the end of the day it's infotainment. The presenters gave a good account of the Z32 and it was lovely to see Steve Millen
in the show.

Then just source a car from California, it cant be that hard.

I may be mis-remembering but I thought he sold the wheels it came with for more than he paid for the standard ones?

The premise for selling the LMGT4 wheels was "they were worth a lot on the s/h market" and "the car was probably worth more stock" (MB).

According to the program the wheels were sold for $2K and the stock were bought for $400.

I've missed this so far, and it's been taken off YouTube now.

One thing, I used to have LMGT4's on my 350Z and sold them for a decent amount in 2010. I loved those wheels and wish I'd kept them, even though I don't think they'd suit the 370Z as much. I would have been happy just to keep them in the loft with visiting rights!

that was a lot of work to add smog to the car

they are fetching £11K in Japanese auctions now, 3.5 C which is typical for an old car, there are a lot of R's due to modifications

As a z32 300zx owner I waited and then watched with excitement. Did It live up to expectations..... loved it loved it loved it :) Yes it would have been better if filmed in the UK and Ed was still the mechanic but it was a z32 featured on wheeler dealers that can only be a positive for the marque.

One of my mates has a Z32, its a bit rough but I do have a new respect for them now. I've been Stillen as I went there to buy some side skirts for my GTR, I had a tour around by the son. Air New Zealand didn't charge me extra to ship them back either as they were the same size as skis! The days when we went to places... pre-Covid
