Edit: UNINTERESTING F1 GP this weekend

If it provides as much drama as Monza last weekend it’ll be worth watching. I enjoyed part one of the Italian duo of races due to the fact none of the expected and usual podium inhabitants made it up there.

F1 is only boring if you focus on the leaders. The top teams have the resources to excel and always have done. Hopefully the financial restrictions being introduced may 'level' things but I doubt it. It's only like football.

I have access to Netflix (through my lad's account) and their programmes are great and do focus on smaller teams.

Normal TV coverage is too late e.g. 5 hrs after a race and also they don't stop talking so you can't hear the cars.

The F1 'circus' goes to Mugello this weekend for the first time. Very picturesque circuit in the mountains of Tuscany.

I'm looking forward to it.

Mugello is owned by Ferrari and they test there. 'bike races use the track too.

It’s a great MotoGP track. The bikes there hit 360kph/225mph.

not sure if the f1 race will be anywhere near as good, however it’ll be good to have a new track. Just hope they don’t ruin the braking areas.

Guys, did you see the Grosjean crash?

The cars are so pointed the nose opened the barrier up.

No-one has mentioned the shape of the nose or the fact that Grosjean is a liability especially on the first lap of a race. He has been banned before for causing first lap incidents!

Time he left the sport.

Yeah, I wonder what happened. It looks like he is changing direction without seeing the other car on track and hitting it. Really reckless move.

He might have had a mechanical issue though, that made him veer left before hitting the other car.

Yeah, I wonder what happened. ............

He was on the left of another racer and cars started bunching in front of him so he decided to go right without considering anyone else. He caught his right rear tyre on the other car.

Yeah, I saw that. It was more a retorical question from me.

What I meant to say was: If that drastic move to the right causing the collision with the car to his right wasn't caused by mechanical damage, that was really reckless.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he retired now. He was extremely lucky to come out of that. If the car hadn’t split in two where it did, could he have got out? Difficult to say ...

Hamilton has Covid... Will sit out next race. Who will be the replacement? It would be great to see Hulkenberg

I hope it's not his brother, he races in the BTTC and crashes every race.

Lewis was really careful until he won the championship - I wonder if he has relaxed his guard? there could be repercussions if he has.

Apparently Vandoorne is their reserve driver.

He won't be getting his 100th pole this year now. 2021 will be the year he sets more records and extends many others.

Awful crash, but thankfully he escaped largely ok and is on the mend.

Talk of Russell filling Hamilton's spot and Nissiani or Tictum filling in for Williams.

Would be great to see George in the points!

Todays GP was brilliant. Well worth watching right to the end.

Chan 4 10pm.

You won't be disappointed.

The whole weekend has shown how good the mercedes is compared to the rest of the field. from struggling to qualify 15th to being a few thousands off pole in your first drive in it.
