Hi all,
I haven’t posted for a while, just one of those things!
I’m sure some of you will recognise my car, we’ve been together now for 34 years, on & off the club site, sometimes at meets & shows & sometimes not over the years, dependant on what’s happening in life at the time. Any way the car was looking ok ( won best 80’s car at stoneyhurst classic car show last year) but I knew all his little nasty bits & bobs, the last time I had it resprayed was in 97, so I thought I’d treat him this year.
Had him stripped right back, New interior, new wheels made in Japan & as many new rubber bits as I could find worldwide. This is a sort of before & after picture, I’ll try & put some others up but I’ve got a pub to try & open now so might be short of time as usual Thanks

Saw the post on FB - looks amazing. Get it to a club meet next year so we can all see it in person!

Lovely, the colour and wheel combination is really complementary. I have been waiting patiently to see your car surface again. Not disappointed. Will be great to see it at the next round of club meets.

Looking really nice! I have a 240 and 260 currently restoring but I have also just bought into a 280zx 2+2 to sue as a daily as soon as I can get some problems with the fuel system sorted out (usual story of standing for some years so the tank rusted and dunked up. Are those leather seat covers a purchased set or did you have them made?

Thanks, I had them made, I have seen a set of original type covers for sale on an American site, all colours, I think it was z source, but there are a few different sites not exactly sure which site. I spent hours looking for bits so looked at loads of different sites, the 280zx are quite rare now ( good investment) I think there is only 5 of my particular model left in the UK.

The Z Store do a set of leather covers. I used their velour covers and the kit was really good quality.

Thanks Guys. They do look a really good fit Huw - nice! I will take on board your thoughts when it comes to doing the seats. Mine are currently red velour and in reasonable condition. Cant decide whether to keep original coverings and simply put new bolsters in or completely renew with leather
