Woohoo! Finally an advantage with buying a Uk car, the plastics are ok. I knew one day there would be a plus point! That and the massive weight savings associated with a car that’s rusted away!

I'm recolouring my originals that were on the car in differing states of wear. Some are like new and some are a bit mangled but they are all delicate ...

You can see how much the colour of the plastic has changed from 1972 ...

The previous owner may have smoked in it, I never met him, but it's not like this was nicotine and it all washed off with some Cif! I scrubbed them clean and they still looked the same colour!

Probably needs the retrobrite treatment with some bleach thinned with water and UV lamps.

The interior of mine in general was trashed but the plastics were so brittle that they just snapped when being removed (there was already several bad bits of damage anyway).

I'd be very interested to know what the FRP Automotive replacement parts are like. Would make a change being able to get something from the UK!

You could ask Saccy if he has any decent originals. I’ve had to repair mine a fair bit and no way are they perfect.

I have some interior plastics but all are in black.

Not sure what colour Franky is after, black probably if his car is 918 which I think it is, although these things can be recoloured of course.
