Yes, here's a pic of the sign in his garden, it's pretty big.

What a great space! The hubby of one of my other half's friends has an illuminated S I N G E R sign hanging in his garden! We always rib him it's the sewing machine company ... it's all wired up and everything ...

As a former Hillman Hunter owner (LDO 585g) - I liked their products ... will the Vogue be another ebay sale? If so, I shall look out for it ...
Yes it will be on eBay. This one needs some welding underneath but I have the panels, several of each actually which will be going with it, you can see them on the roof!

Is your friend's Singer sign like my Hillman one? I'm looking for one as I no longer own a Hillman, will need a Sunbeam one too.

Love the space, it's insulated throughout inc the ceiling and has an industrial grade fan heater which warms it up in 15 mins in the winter. More lights and sockets than I'll ever need. Rubber floor matting.

Great sign! I've also got a pair of nos dealership signs which are 4 foot square, one has Hillam and Singer, the other Sunbeam and Humber. One day I'll illuminate them and mount them on a pole. Like these:

This is my little piece of heaven. Bought the house 10 years ago because it had space for this. Took another 4 years before I could build it. Six years later the roof leaks so that's a project for the summer. The Singer Vogue will be sold soon, that will probably pay for the roof!

I love it! Was it built to a plan you can buy? Was contemplating doing something similar in the back garden.

Whats in the safe ? is a working clock for a 240z or is that your stack of bog rolls and pasta . if so best place ever
Nothing at the moment, it's a future project picked up for free from a neighbour. Had to fix the door lock and get keys made for the inner drawers. Just needs cleaning up and painting now. My 260 already has a working clock :) .

Where did you buy this car cover?

Awesome man cave BTW

The car cover cost me just over a hundred quid and it’s honestly brilliant. It’s a soft stretch satin cover in ‘small’. You would think was a custom made size for the S30! Even comes in a satin carry bag and you can get a logo put on it which I didn’t bother with. Only for indoor use but a 100% recommendation from me.

I think one of the biggest obstacles with not having a decent size garage is to do with convenience.

Even with a useful car port, it takes time to get the car out and get started. I can't easily stop a job part way through either and need to tidy up all the tools into the garage if I do.

It stops me 'just popping into the garage to do an hours work on the car'.

Some nice garages on here (& games rooms). When we first moved into our house many years ago. I gave up a quarter of the double garage, to help with the new utility room/kitchen layout :banghead:
Ever since I have regretted the decision, still maybe looking to move soon, so a better/bigger garage will be high on my list of priority's.

This picture is with the Wide arch 300ZX in the garage. You only had one option which was to drive it in, the climb cross the trans tunnel and out through the passenger side door. (Taking the targa out first helped a lot!)

Looking forward to slightly more room with the 240.

I still need to tidy up once the tips do not have such long queues.

I wanted to put a lift in so I could put my Z4 M coupe above the Zed and slightly into the roof but it was a lot of work because of the rafters I needed about 4 inches to do it but wasn’t possible so I sold the garage in the paddock and put a double up which houses my scooby sti and M coupe, the jdm hawk on the drive is my daily,The Zed sits alone but I can get round both sides and it one and half car lenght

Wow, some tight garages there, some done very nicely, but tight.

I have no right to ever complain about mine I guess. Although even with a triple I still fancy more room. I do have plans to extend the end two bays and install a recessed scissor lift, however with the restoration taking any spare money I have thats a long way off.

When I was looking for house I was only prepared to buy one that either had a triple garage or had room to build or extend one.

Looks different now as I've done quite a bit work in it and painted it but I have no recent photos. I floored the far bay for storage, next time I'm home I will floor the middle loft also, the end bay will be staying open so I can lift cars in the future.

I had two air chambers in there which really takes up the room. Going to end up only having a tent for the Datsun in the middle bay. Civic can stay in the open with just a cover.

Still a long way from where I want it, but after seeing what some of you are working with I am happy that I at least have the room.

Next step is to buy a big hut for the back garden and the I'll put all the gardening stuff out there giving me much more room in my workshop.

Its fine when you are the only one around. But its in the plans to build a partition around it.

It seems we can't edit posts anymore? To fix the photo links. These are the ones missing from above.
