Got a new drone the other day

Brought a new mid cost drone last week , as my old one is over 5 years old now and with how fast tech moves these days was way out dated,

The new one has a 4K camera built in 3 axis gimbal , 25 mins flight time, follow me etc etc ,

I've always wanted to do a video with my Z , like he ones you see on the Petrolicious channel on YouTube, up in the Black mountains , hopefully this will help me

Anyways here's a few quick test video I did the other night, just down from me house , I'm so lucky to have such nice scenery just over the road,

very nice. do you have to have a licence for it?

That's main thing that's given me second thoughts on getting one - they've really clamped down on what you can do with the near anywhere populated.

CEE Regs state under 250g dosen't need a licence , so there's a few new drones out now that weigh 249g's , like the Mavic Mini etc,

The new one is just 400g's so needs one but I've got a Licence from before , and as long as you fly responsibly and in open places its fine , I mainly fly round the Gower but will take it up the mountains when we're aloud out here in Wales,

The "follow me" function: Presumably you carry some form of beacon with you and it follows the beacon? Can you get it to fly 30 feet off your rear and follow your car over the mountains roads keeping the camera on the car?

No 'beacon' required, scarily you just point the camera at what you want to follow, set it and off you go apparently. My friend brought his round the other day, couldn't fly it properly right enough as it detected we were in an airport zone. Amazing technology but a bit pointess maybe.

Mine follows the controller/phone and you can set its height and distance from you , so in theory yes you could do that , but top speed is around 35kph so would have to drive slowly or put the drone up high

How do you fix the surfboard on the car, there’s no way I would get the longboard in mine.......Maybe my old toothpick but I think I’m too old to surf that now, and too unfit.

I've put my 9'10 plank on my old Z , with a soft rack before now , fits on to the drip rail
