Looking at a 260Z 2+2 this weekend, anyone know it?

That looks to be a very nice car, with the seller making further repairs before sale even better :D

My only criticism at this point would be the standard but rather high ride height, but nonetheless well done on the purchase and welcome to the far rarer and therefore much better and desirable! 2+2 owners club

Congrats dude! All my points were niggly bits really for negotiation.

She looks like a lovely car and well done for agreeing with the seller to do the work and get an MOT etc.

Choke cables do turn up on eBay and this forum and the fuel rails also do on eBay. My only concerns on that front from the photos are: 1. Is it sitting there loose and likely to foul against the metal work resulting in a leak over the hot manifold and a subsequent car-b-q and 2. Does it have a decent return to the fuel tank that while keeping up the fuel pressure, doesn’t overwhelm the carb floats and result in said car-b-q?

Otherwise it seems like a very tidy car that you can drive, enjoy and take your time tinkering with around the edges! [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

Toopey - I love those wheels buddy, they really work well on your car and with the colour.

Hi, I have found the spare fuel rail. I will PM you with pics and price. I have tested it and there are no blockages.

Picking the 260Z up tomorrow. My Singer Vogue was collected by the new owner this afternoon so now there's a nice empty space in the garage awaiting a Datsun.
Because of the predicted weather tomorrow I'm going to trailer it home so it doesn't get any cap and or salt residue underneath.
Can't wait!

Congratulations on your 2+2 purchase!
I’ve got a 78 2+2 which is being restored at the moment. Let’s hope your car has less rot then mine as panels aren’t the easiest to find especially rear quarters

It's settling in to it's new home now. Only had time to drop it off as my daily Beemer and the trailer had another car to move. Just dried it off before locking the garage. Will have a quick play in the morning.

Steering wheel looks bent to my eyes Rob/Ali !

What does it mean these days 'a good tune-up' ?

Source of bogus badges well known and supplier of coveted cars to the gentry also (but appears to have pulled all his ads).
