That is one old photo - there's a rather middle-aged looking Brian Baker (former owner of Sam CHL117K, now in his 80s) in the left of the second pic!

So late 70s? that explains why they all seem to have good shut lines on the doors :)

I’ve not spoken to him in ages; I did hear he wasn’t too well and that Brenda hadn’t been great either. Next time you see him Phil, send my regards.

It's not too bad on the outside - the pics don't show a lot though. That rear end with the colour coded panel give me early '70s big American Ford and Lincoln nightmares. I was half expecting some buttoned drayon interior horror show ... how come this car isn't the usual Samuri colours?

What do you see Jason? I see a few things I'd change, but not any structural problems. But my bar is Lower than some :)
If you zoom in you can see a lot of microblistering as well as rust blisters all around the place. Sills look ropey. Basically, a complete repaint and probably a lot of metal work. That’s a lot of work for strong estimated money, even when it’s a verified Sam (and it’s a 2+2).
