Is this car in the club?

In this months news letter from my local classic car club, an S30 spotted at a show near Bodiam castle, although this was back in June apparently.
From the description, its an Aussie import, but did Nissan Australia really do this as an official conversion?

I’ll upload it properly when I’m not on my phone. The bonnet needs painting. Well so does the car

Looks pretty good. What's it like to drive? Do you notice any flex in the body?

I haven’t drove it loads I’m still working on it there is some flex it’s not too bad but I am going to modernise some of the structural side as there is better improvements over the years. I would like a hard top at some point but i couldn’t turn this deal down as at least it’s one I can own for now. It’s also been a good learning curve of the cars.

The car that my old mate had was green as I first stated, that car had scaffold poles in the sills to keep it rigid if my memory serves me right
That French bloke that comes on here sometimes ,I think he might remember the car from our billing days

The black one was owned by our local Datsun dealer and was stuck on it's roof when only a few months old.
Story goes that It slid so far down the road that the bonnet was worn through to the rocker box, Driver and passenger got out unscathed but in big shit !
Passenger who was a panel beater for the same company at the time of the incident turned the car into a convertible and surprisingly the original owner still had it 40 + years later as well as a 240 rally car and very nice RHD 260Z !

Interesting car Neil.

I found an old copy of Z Car Magazine from 1995. All about convertibles.

I did a fair bit of work on this car in around '91. Usual mods for the time- triples etc- it was nicely done conversion and drove well from memory. I have a couple of photos.
The chap who owned lived in Telford.

Be great to see them if you have. Yes it had triples I have removed them for now as they need some work.
