Nissan Design Studio - Cars and Coffee - 18th September

Per the above the club has been invited to attend the Nissan Design Studio in Padington on the 18th September from 4pm for a Cars and Coffee meet.

Should you be interested in attending or bringing your car along then please can you register your interest below so that we can get an idea on numbers?

It would be easier for me to finish work early and cross London to be there. But if they are keen to have some cars attend then I could take 1/2 a day off and drive in. Sounds fun!

I would like to come for this as I may have the day off, bit of a long drive but if your happy with a car that looks it’s age I’ll bring it....if not maybe train.

I'd love to do this but I'm a nervous driver at the best of times in the Datsun, driving it 3 hours to Paddington is daunting aha. Alongside the issue of it probably still being in pieces.

Is it okay to come without the Z?

I haven’t driven in London for several years now so I’m not up to date on the charges involved. There is congestion charges but how are classic cars treated when it comes to emissions charges?

So If you don't have a car you need to passenger up with somebody. I can send the people who are confirmed they can go the mobile of the guy organising it. As I'm away from Wednesday next week I will close it there. I'm not sure if you will get shown around but it's likely and worth the time. It's also worth the chat to the designers of the Z cars. I think its 4 cars max

if you drive the right way there is no charges, if make the wrong turn you can end up in the charging zone

As I live directly east of London I had intended to drive straight through. The alternative would be m25 all the way around then head into London from the west.

Thanks V much for organising this again. I'm so pleased I can make it this time around because I still haven't quite got over missing it last time!

I know some people in nissansportz who are keen to come along too so if there are any places left after ZClub members have signed up I'm sure we can fill those spaces.

Just to confirm is the maximum 4 cars (8 people)?

I've met Ajay, he's a top bloke and signed some of our 350Zs back in the day (I sadly sold mine). I've also got a video of him giving a talk about designing the 350Z (and about those door handles...)

I hope that Matt will be there because he helped designed the R35. Also a top guy who has a lot of good stories and likes to listen to our opinions.

I'm really looking forward to this event!
