Me neither, I'm just deciding on a shirt now, polka dot, paisley or horizontal stripey?
May run to a cravat but that's the nearest I'm going to a tie.
Heard some people saying they're going all 'Peaky Blinders'. I've never seen it as don't watch much TV but from the little I know wasn't that set in the 20's? Goodwood didn't start racing until 1948 so how does that work?
60's and 70's were the golden decades, the best cars, music, films, comedy, fashion, girls......... if I was in charge of the world we'd just re-run those two decades over and over on a loop.
I don't remember much of the 60's. What was it like Chris?
According to the Goodwood BS, the spirit & attire of Goodwood only goes up to the mid 60's. So that's my classic Z and my old rocker/hippy jeans & T-shirt stuffed, but that won't be stopping me
I totally agree, can we just keep on doing a re-run of the 60's & 70's Everything was far better without all this PC BS, sjw's, globalism, the new suckers tax- climate change, & brain dead students wanting to destroy the planet with communism.
You can tell climate change is true, the politicians are denying it.According to the Goodwood BS, the spirit & attire of Goodwood only goes up to the mid 60's. So that's my classic Z and my old rocker/hippy jeans & T-shirt stuffed, but that won't be stopping me

All that dressing up is BS - if they want to live in the past then charge £5 to enter and only allow race cars with a Transit van as support!
I can remember go to British GPs that cost £15 on race-day.
It's still like that in Northampton.
All sporting events were much cheaper back in the day (even allowing for inflation) and also much more accessible in terms of turning up on the day and no problem getting in. You didn't have to plan years in advance, get a ticket months before the event, there was very little touting. Globalisation and over-commercialisation has been the ruin of most sports....humbug, humbug roll us yer cap Grandad!
I used to pitch up to Old Trafford on Saturdays to watch Tommy Doc's United and pay tuppence ha'penny at the turnstile, not a prawn sandwich or souvenir shop in sight - the only thing you would buy was a program to get the voucher for any potential cup finals.
In July 1977 on my 15th birthday in glorious sunshine I bunked off school and caught the train to Warwick Road, walked under the subway and paid £1.50 on the gate to see the first day of the Ashes Test (explaining my sunburnt face to the form teacher next day was a bit awkward but he was the cricket master, so wink wink and off you go sonny).
You try getting a ticket to either football (although why would you bother at the moment ) or cricket at Old Trafford these days, you aren't just going to pitch up and pay the man on the gate and that's before we mention the price.
Anyway, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.........

£1.50 to watch the cobblers or the sticklebacks in empty grounds.
:traditional:
what decade is it now?Think you are almost harking back to the 70's as well with those prices Jon.
£ 18 at the Grecians, Exeter City and that is for standing on the Big Bank, mind you, they are top of the league!
6/10 - harsh Franky, glad you didn't mark my O level papers
Her indoors (and I get in trouble for calling her that - damn pc....ness knows no bounds, even poor old Arthur Daley.isms are off limits apparently) has said I swear too much and I'm on probation. Although she doesn't read this forum, you never know who may snitch me up
ps - you're too young to agree!
Sorry to change the subject but I’ll just add that a very kind guy from France, who is marshalling at goodwood has given me a weekend ticket so I’ll be joining the 3 of you for friday and Saturday. Do you have spare car park passes for both days Chris? Do I have to book the camping? I’ll be getting there quite early Friday as I’m picking up the Marshall at Portsmouth 6:00 and bringing him with me.
