Managed to pick up a set of carbon trumpets ready for my TBIm install and found a 45mm Jenvey TB for mock up (need two more if anyone has any...)

Just slowly amassing parts and hopefully after I return from holiday in September I can slowly start progressing more with this.. the house renovation is currently taking most of my time up and I don't have any spare money for this!

Looking forward to hearing more when time and funds allow

FAJs are much cheaper, i have some. But I haven't fitted them yet so can't prove they're as good, but on the other hand, it's a pair of 45 mm tubes at a given spacing with a hole for injectors to squirt into. How hard can it be? [emoji16]

I’ve read a few issues with the cheap Chinese ones but I’m sure out of the thousands they’ve sold it’s probably a small percentage.

I paid 125 quid for this one and not a LOT for some stunning carbon trumpets...

If I buy two brand new ones it’ll still owe me less than 600 for Jenvey with carbon intakes so not too bad. Just need to have a backing plate and filter cover laid up...

Right so now I have finished sorting out a friends Z I can move forward a little with this - although house work still taking priority.

Expect updates!

I have acquired a few more bits... Including a full set of the above trumpets but they may be too long to fit in the bay depending on manifold length (so on the look out for a short runner if anyone has one?)

Some wheels:

Genuine Watanabe 15's 7.5J width and 0 offset. Always wanted Watanabe wheels but these came up for a daft price and I jumped at them.

Also picked up all the venting for the rear tailgate.

Hopefully Ill start prepping the body perhaps this weekend after having a tidy up - I am going to alter my rotisserie slightly so it makes it easier to move around as its a little too high to work on the top half but great to work on the underside.

Wheels look lovely, although IMO Watanabe prices are always daft!

That's a bargaintastic price for The Real Thing, but are you sure they are actually zero offset? They look a bit more like positive offset for a 7.5j to me.

For comparison, here's a pair of 'B' type in 7j x 14":

You can get a narrower manifold for thr TBs I’ll measure mine when I get the Zed back if you want, you can put a decent size air box on if that’s the way you are going

Sorry Albrecht, I’ve posted 0 offset but they are positive. +8.5 et

I did consider these wheels a couple of months ago but passed due to the offset not being my taste. They were a good price though and we do all have different taste's.

I was quite happy to have a little more arch clearance than on my 0 offset XXR's previously. I want to run this car on coilovers and a little lower so anything to stop rubbing helps.
