New Air box

Is the spacing for the DCOE Webers the same as Jenvey? I am sure it will be?

Would you be happy to make me another base? Obviously more than happy to pay you for your time, material cost and use of the kit!

Dan

Not sure about the spacing Dan , but if you give me the hole center spacing's I can check, It would only mean moving the holes in CAD

I don't mind making another, as this is MK 1 anyways, I will be making another one for myself with some mod's

What air box do you plan on using though ? This is designed for my air box so don't think it will fit the other ones available.

I would also try to get one laid up - I have a feeling my carbon trumpets I have will be too long and may contact the master cylinder and strut tower but need to get the intake manifold made up first.

I'll check the spacing and send you a PM. Not sure if you'd be able to machine up flanges also for the head side and for the TB side so I can get the runners made/cut to length and welded up.

Cheers :)

Jenvey, dellorto, mikuni etc all copy the weber spacing and bolt pattern.

Thanks Jon ,

I wonder if all the manifolds have the same spacing to ? I.e centers between carbs , they cant be to much in it as they all bolt on L series heads

Another measurement that might be different is the distance between the head face and the carb face i.e. the 'runners'. This will impact on space for the airbox.

I forgot about that Rob ! I remember some are longer than others, I've seen people having to run shorter velocity stacks

I have made the mold a bit taller than needed so the air box can be trimmed back after its made just in case ,

I know I've got the master cylinder on mine because its LHD , you only have to worry about the strut housing on the inner wing on a RHD #

Edit ..... Oh and the Battery !

Bolt spacings at the carb Manifold interface are the the same upto 45 or maybe 48mm bodies, for the bigger bodies the bolt spacing is bigger. There was an interesting thread on this last year where Alan/Albrecht pointed this out.

Great work as usual.

How about making me one of these?
Not sure it will fit the Z around the turret area. Also no real need to duct from the centre with the Z as there are plenty of openings in the front rad surround panel.
