Wing to Inner wing foam pad

20190701_195853.jpg 20190701_195904.jpg I have just taken the wings off my car to clean everything up and find more rot I expect...........

Have discovered that one wing has a foam strip running running down it (definitely home made) and the other does not. Are these standard with one missing or not standard and I've got one for a reason I have not worked out yet?

Any info or jokes appreciated :)

Thanks

There should be rubber strips between the inner and outer wings, and they clip on to the inner wing seam. I guess someone has Improvised on yours.

Almost certain my car doesn't have these when it probably should! Another thing to check!

I had foam on my original US car. Stuck on. It’s part of the nvh and stops dirt flicking up the inside of the wing.

It’s original as far as I’m aware and I made some new ones up on the other car.

The rubber strip fits along the top of the wing.
