Rocket bunny 240z

hello everybody. I’m new here and wanted to ask what wheels, tires and suspension I can run with a 1972 240z with a pandem kit. I’m thinking of 17x10 in the rear and 16x9 in the back. Would this work? I may also have to run spacers in the form of bolt adapters. Even if you are running smaller flares or no flares at all any bit of information would be really useful.

Rota RBX could be a good option. 17x9.5

They look great but I’m planning for this to be a bit more of a show car and from the 2 cars I’ve run with rota/ xxr wheels both were hated at car shows. Don’t mind the brands personally but maybe for the public image.....

The white elephant in the room is the Rocket bunny kit. If you were concerned with the public reaction of your choice of wheels, then be prepared to absorb equal amounts of negativity regarding the kit. EXTRA;)

As for wheel spec and sizes, my suggestion would be bespoke sizes that will fill those flared arches well. received_10155885991506458.jpeg received_10155885991471458.jpeg received_10155885991476458.jpeg

Whilst this kit isn't my personal preference, I'm just happy to see more interest in Zs and more Zs being built into running condition (even moreso on UK roads!).

Interested to see how your project pans out!

I would not run a spacer over 5mm (10mm at a push) for so many reasons, if you cannot get wheels that fit right without spacers I would go custom made for sure.

I can fit 16x8.5 or 17x9 wheels to my stock arch Z so you should easily be able to run 12" wheels with those arches.

Makes sense, with all the people saying to run 12 (width) I’ll probably end up doing just that. As for diameter I’m not sure I wanna go 18 all round or maybe go 18’s in the rear and 17s inthe front, I had more of a staggered build in mind but I’m not so sure anymore :D
