'A cheap, usable American LHD car with bad paint, interior and wheels is going to be around £15k. To get it restored properly, as opposed to just repainting it, you can add forty grand to that.'

I'm not showing that to the missus.

Not quite how the story all started

Sam,
With all due respect, you can't expect a short write-up after a visit by 'newbie' online journalists to tell the whole story, and especially if you are personally so close to the events in question. That's just the way it is I'm afraid. There's a business running there and it is facing a changing landscape, but they are doing OK whilst many other such companies have been struggling. That's the day to day existence of classic car-related companies.

I have to say, whenever I visit Fourways I always feel the spirits of John and Geoff are still there, woven into the very fabric of the place. I can walk in there and literally point at things that they have worked on, things that they left their stamp on. That's something that you can - I feel - be proud of. People who didn't know them won't 'get' that, but it's there nonetheless for us who know. That's how legacies work.

If we remember them, then they still live on. I, for one, remember...
