Hi All,

Better late than never but for those that are interested this year, the 350Z UK CLub have generously agreed to allow us join their club stand at Japfest Silverstone this year.

Having organised a stand last year it seems to make perfect sense to join forces given our relatively small numbers vs their huge presence at this event. Last year they had over 100 cars on their stand and won best stand so it will be a great place to be positioined with like minded enthusiasts.

For anyone who would like to join tickets can be purchased through the main club using the link below:

http://www.japfest.co.uk/buy-tickets-0#

You will need to select club tickets and then use the following options:

1. The Club is 350z-uk
2. The password is 122.103
3. You need a ticket for every person in the car
4. You need a Club Vehicle Pass (it's free) to get on the stand

The reps from 350Z UK would also like those in attendance to confirm via the official event thread on 350Z UK, it only takes a few minutes to make an account (official thread linked below).

https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/122257-japfest-silverstone-sunday-5th-may-2019/

It would be good to see as many of you there as possible and is a great day out. I'll personally be at Donnington on the Saturday and then changing things up with Japfest on Sunday.

Any questions then just give me a shout.

Just tried to book - are the tickets exactly the same price for clubs? Looks like you get a free cap instead of a discount?

Sadly tickets are £25 for the day, no preferential treatment other than infield club parking :( Yes, a free snapback. Was a T-shirt last year if you waited in the monster queue...

Hi everyone.

I'm one of the members from the 350Z & 370Z Uk club and just wanted to hopefully get convince a few of you to join us for the Japfest event in May. I know Japfest perhaps isn't a prestigious classic event, but it is really impressive show which caters to all eras of Japanese cars. There is no ticket discount as mentioned before but the club stand pass is free, as well as a free cap and event program.

As you know we are trying to organise something special for the Z chassis' 50th anniversary. I know Andy our Events manager is in talks with Kelsey group (Japfest organisers) to have all Z clubs placed together and the possibility of a parade lap in an attempt to break the world record for most cars on track at once, which you would of course be leading. I have a few contacts within Nissan Europe whom have shown interest in supporting us at the event with various sponsors - Japspeed have already shown keen interest and what to display one of their drift cars on our stands! And Nissan themselves may even be present.
Because this is technically your anniversary, we don't want to organise anything without your presence and support at the event. The anniversary showcase also definitely wouldn't hold the same weight without you there.

It would be great to see you all at the event. This is usually a high turn out and successful event for us, last year we have over 100 350Z & 370Z's present from our club alone and we won best club stand in 2017. We also have 30+ confirmed from the 300ZX club so this has the potential to be a really special event for the Z community.

We hope to see you there :)

Thanks.

Mike

Well if that doesn't sell it then I don't know what will....

I know that there's an events clash however it would be goood to really represent the marque at various events across the country to raise the profile and celebrate the Z marque as a whole. Would be nice to not be the only 240z there even if it will be an massive ego boost for me, and both me and Matt won't be able to talk to everyone...

Already booked to do the Donnington event. One of the downsides of having 2 major events on the same weekend. I thought that the main 50th anniversary event was going to be the Silverstone classic at the end of July. I have booked onto that one with that in mind. Getting confused with all this & it needs clarifying which is the official celebration event. If it is Japfest then I probably won't be going.

Loads of clashes throughout the season which are unavoidable sadly, it is what it is though.

It has been voiced that the main event of the year where all of the Clubs are getting together in the UK is Silverstone, that said there are lots of other big events throughout the year so everyone is trying to make the most of it. If we can join forces for as many shows as possible then all the better for it!

As Mark notes, the Silverstone Classic is the main event for celebrating the anniversary in combination with the Z Register.

It's a pity that Donington and Japfest Silverstone clash. I can see myself doing Donington both days, but might get a Japfest ticket and split the weekend this time around depending on how I feel/weather, etc. We will see.

On a related note, I really think we should try and get a few more Zs to Japfest Donington, which takes place on 13th July. There were just four Zs there last year, spread around the site. One won the Show & Shine, keeping up the trend as my car won it (without even being entered!) in 2017. It would be great if we had enough attendees to get a paddock stand this time. There's no clashes and it's the ideal central location obviously. I really enjoy it - it's like a slightly more chilled version of Japfest Silverstone basically.

If there is interest, I will see about booking a club stand. Anyone?

I know we're happy to support at any event.

I believe Andy has already offered the 350Z and 370Z Uk support at the Silverstone Classic but I don't think he got much of a response, so if someone could get back to him about what the plan is that would definitely help things our end. I know all/most hotels in the area are pretty much fully booked which makes it more difficult for some of our members because a lot of them are from up't North and Scotland but we should still be able to get a good attendance.
It may be worth shifting support from Nissan, etc to the classic if that is the main event.

I'd be up for Japfest Donington, I went in 2017, booked a stand but they wouldn't let the 6 of us that went in because they were over prescribed so we had to park with the riffraff! But would definitely be worth looking into this year, seeing if we can get more numbers?

I have notified 350z club on their forum.

See you there!

Just to update everyone, the club deadline for the tickets is Monday 8th April at midday.

If anyone is thinking of attending then please do get on with an book tickets asap, it would be great to have several S30's representing....

If I wasn't going to the Donny meet I'd be attending. Even though I'm not a fan of coloured lights under cars, stupidly sized in car sound systems or hot hatches, it's still a fun event.
Hope you all have a good time

Am coming to this thread a little late due to other stuff (life) getting in the way...........so Silverstone is through the 350z club and Donnington is???

If we’re joining in with the 350zs at Japfest, why is there a “Zclub” option on the groups list when buying tickets? Who are they?

If you wish to attend Japfest Silverstone then tickets can be purchased through the 350Z Club as linked above, Donington is being organised by JK through the Zclub as usual.

The reason there is a Zclub option is due to the previous club stand which I organised last year with the Nissansportz club, however I've decided not to renew it this year as there wasn't enough interest and I wanted to combine stands for the best Z presence in one central pitch/location.

1 week until the deadline for club tickets folks!
