Thanks for all the feedback. I don't think it seems overly 'cheap' but more of a good price. I have said I will supply the paint if he lets me know what and how much he needs. He seemed like a genuine enough guy and the shop is less than 5 miles from me. He said I can drop in whenever I want to help out or drop of/collect bits so that is a bonus.

For any interested.

Car is off to the paint shop in a couple of weeks. I am going to do some work while it is on the rotisserie and get the rear brake lines and fuel rails out then. While it's in the shop I am going to do a good service and check over of the engine as well as a thorough clean up. Anything I should replace while it's out apart from normal belts, gaskets, and pumps?

I saw a post somewhere (can't for the life of me now find it) from a Guy in the US who is happy to have parts shipped to him a drop it to a local post office.

I have found a small kit of weatherstripping seals that are a good deal from a reputable supplier, but they don't ship to the UK with the deal as its only for US customers.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers Franky. Not great review from them recently. Appears they have been bought out. I'll do some digging on a similar company.

Hi Tom, that was me in the US.
A shoebox size carton usually costs me about $35 - $45 to ship to the UK using USPS. You can calculate the price in the USPS web site using package dimensions and weight.
PM me if you want to ship to me and then I can forward to you.
I usually get $5 on top of shipping to cover my fuel to the POST store, re-package, and back to the POST store to mail to the UK.

I have been doing some repairs on the dash for the past few weeks when I get a chance. Think it has turned out well all considering its the first time I have worked with these products. Just waiting for some texture base coat to come through to add back the textured finish.

So I am fully anticipated the front windscreen to crack as I have noticed a hairline crack on the bottom corner. Had a specialist who removes classic windscreens and said he can give it a go but he doesnt think it will come out well, and if it does most likely will crack going back in.

Where can you get a 240z windscreen from and how much are they? Save the heated windscreens but I would like one similar to OEM.

In other news, the textured spray turned up for the dash. It looks awesome if I don't say myself.

I used the below in this order

2 coats of gloss black as a base
https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonse...VrbftCh2RlAmlEAQYAiABEgI71fD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

1 coat of PlastX 5 Black
http://www.express-paints.co.uk/u-pol-plast-x-aerosols-400ml/

Followed by 2 coats of Texture Black
http://www.express-paints.co.uk/proxl-black-texture-aerosol-500ml/

And two final coats of the previous PlastX 5 Black

A lot of paint down but gives a very good solid finish that merges really well into the old colour and texture.

So was that the fine texture or the rougher texture that you got on your dash with the Texture black? It says you can do both ...
