£625 isn't it? I couldn't figure out the difference between the 595 thing and the 625 thing on my phone :(

Harada is good quality ok but appeal is subjective - yes.

Quality - not the best and not the worst and so combined with the price delivered = good value for money*

History - there are other makes with history..and certain that are new on the market.

I realise I'm not completely disinterested so my view also must be taken subjectively - I merely don't adhere that because a car is Japanese, that only Japanese parts are 'right' for it.

Although just for the doubting Thomas' , where I do NOT devalue the quality and therefore understand the (justifiable high) prices listed for exhausts and headers, the very reasonable price of the Harada is therefore potentially suspiciously low - no ?

Don't take all this too seriously chaps - I'm just typing whilst waiting for my scolding hiot tea to cool off a bit.:p

I don't think the exhausts/manifolds are expensive. how much is a full system from you? I don't think the Harada is low priced, the OER inlet manifold use to be about the same or a bit less, although its showing nearly £600 now.

They appear to have copied the porting template idea from Mangoletsi.

Interesting, but I'll stick to my 300 quid Haradas.

They are a great price Rich, I don't see why you would pay £600 for the others ? unless you don't know about RHD Japan .

I still have the pattern I made off the sport option manifold and to get it cast by the foundry and machine it all up it's close to the Haradas price and that comes with linkage to ,

Go for it. I’d go for one.

I thight you quoted £350 for the Harada - that's low in my view.

As for exhausts...can they be compared ? Mine don't have the big-bore primary pipes as the others, the others don't have individucal exhaust pipe parts nor supply for 2+2s....what IS good for Z fans is that the consumer has a wider choice of quality parts and suppliers !

So how much would your mid price exhaust manifold and other bits cost, total? for a s30? So a full system?

Aren't we going off topic ?

Tell you what, please dig out the price and spec of the lowest-priced RHD offering along with their options and I'll play.

You bought it up, again :)

For the newest, so 'best' fujitsubo on rhd japan its £1300. You can get them in Japan for £1150 however you need to find someone willing to ship.

On your website your mid priced header £564, 'exhaust line'(centre section) is £358, your mid priced silencer £123, lets say £1045

http://www.datsun-zstory.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Tarifs-UK.pdf

So in Japan there's about £100 difference for total Japanese quality, also with a full twin pipe system.

So not much really is it?

So the Fact the Harada is £300ish, makes sense really? Just massively overpriced stuff here in the UK(webcon at £625+vat), (https://classiccarbs.co.uk/product/...oletsi-inlet-manifold-kit-4045-weber-dcoedhla) Magoletsi at £500+vat.

I'd argue the prices of some of the things over here are 'suspiciously high.

Well, three wrongs don't make a right so here goes :

£1300 in Japan (I'd imagine that at £1150, most buyers would have to pay a fee to someone to get it bought and shipped over) ? Real cost of item ie here in Europe (or the UK for the euro sceptics) ?

A Z club member can have a very functionnel, complete Zstory exhaust for £890.

40mm rod linkage Mangoletsi manifold is £516 VAT included. What is the real cost of the Harada here - didn't Jon say £350 so just £50 to ship from Japan ?

I waited for a ‘sale’ paid just under £1400 with shipping and duty for the Fujitsubo which with all the development costs/Dyno work that’s gone in, along with the quality isn’t too bad.

You can get the harada for under £400 landed. You do need to time it right. They’ve been listed at under £300 before, pricing does seem to change on them.

Sounds complicated and a bit of a lottery for the average buyer and with exchange rates (Brexit looming ?), costs can only go up.

All I'll say is that my £ prices remain stable and I've only just broken even after 8x years so the background costs etc, I know only too well.EXTRA:)
