So went to view John’s spare shell. Another one with minimal work needed, really is a truly lovely shell.

As it’s a bare shell I’m really undecided on what route to take, RB25 is favourite currently. I want something road friendly, modern and comfortable. Also going to be RHD converting it so if anyone knows of a dash anywhere please let me know?

Some pictures of her journey today with the final one arrival at the workshop.

Nice to see another project getting underway. I do like the light green colour... Do you have a finished colour in mind yet?

Totally undecided currently..! I do like the lime colour also though so may be an idea.

Going to start pulling her apart on Monday and getting onto my rollover jig for ease of restoration.

It’s quite nice how this car being an early one has no underseal and is solid, makes it easier for stripping.

Anyone know where I might find a RHD dash? Or an absolutely wrecked RHD 240Z? Happy to pay good money.

So made a rotisserie up the other weekend. Stripped the shell of its running gear, brake and fuel lines and pulled the remaining windows.

Just started to get all the dirty underseal off of the car. What a shell

Cut out the bad part of the sill and put fresh metal in. This I believe is the only welding needed however I will be welding up the rear running lights and some unused holes.

Subaru 3.9 LSD showed up and the Subaru rack I’m going to try and use.

Bit more underseal off this afternoon and filled in the trim holes and rear US running lights.

Hey, I have a spare RHD dash (needs a lot of love) with frame, an RHD steering rack, RHD pedal box and some other bits I think. Having done a conversion and a few barnfinds, my plan was to hold them for a few years... but drop me a pm if you want to chat. Tom

Spent some of this weekend getting some of the dents out of the nice original floors and removing the sound insulation from the interior. Found an easier way was to heat up the underside where possible and literally peel it off...that was after a few hours of chipping away.

Im getting a little reluctant to cut the bulkhead from this shell to convert it to RHD considering its condition. I might just be better looking for an S30 import in the states that's relatively solid than going to all the hassle...thoughts?

What else are you going to do to it then, keep it as LHD? You've got one of those already. Surely, you'd want to convert the best shell you can to RHD, I don't see the problem!?
