A tale of two Zed Cars....

Bag? No idea! That is looking in very decent, solid nick though ... any evidence of any repairs? Obv the inside of the windscreen frame has been painted so I wonder if you can see any previous localised repairs that have been done at all ...
Not that I can see. So far no filler or welding found. A little bit of rust inside the wings. I’ll probably get them and the engine bay blasted.

Shame about you wanting new interior panels. I bought some bits off a 280 that had been written off and brought over for spares. The interior panels were in good condition but brown and quite a bit different to my cars. It had a wonderful dash too (remember John).

This shell looks fantastic.

I'd recolour what you have (if serviceable) - they are as brittle as hell though) ask me how I know) and break at the slightest force. But can be repaired easily enough.

i don’t think I have a single complete panel. I don’t mean just broken, I mean broken with bits missing. It would be impossible to rebuild them. So far I have a good set of door cards, but I need the rest.

Ah, no more discussion to be had then on that score ... I hope you have luck in getting new ones for a reasonable ££££

Mostly been stripping off more of the car to get it to the blasters...

Great pics Robert, I am very happy to hear that she is a good solid body. Happy that I did not miss any big rust demons hiding on the car.
Great work!

Yes, keep us informed please. Until we started to be 'flooded' with US imports (ha ha) bodyshells in this condition were very rare. I'm missing the pictures of rust and botched repairs.

Anyway you have a great facility to work in and what is that 'single-seater' body off please?

Thanks for the encouragement. Im now forming the shopping list and firstly its obvious I need a new bushes set.

As I am quite lazy sometimes, I prefer to buy a complete set, and have found this one on ebay:

Getting one in the UK is about £100 more, unless anyone has an alternative resource?

I've read it's worth going for the OEM bushings as they actually perform really well - these ones are apparently quite stiff? Anyone have experience with that?

I've got poly bushes throughout on my car and I don't find it at all harsh, but it was very bit by bit changing it, never had a time when I could really compare with a good oem setup.
