I’d still love to gather some 1980’s HSCC history on the car if there’s anything floating around out there and I’m still keen to know UK RHD numbers if anyone has any insight please?
Cheers!!
The membership database of the club used to list car details, regs, VINs etc. Not sure what the current situation is with that.
In general, if I remember rightly, the U.K. RHD figure on the road used to hover in the 200-250 region for 240Zs at any one time, 100 or so for 260Z 2-seaters, fewer for 2+2s. The overall numbers including LHDs are of course rising.
Of course, the database doesn’t cover all Zs in existence- only ones known to the club via membership.I think those figures are high Rich, I'll check tomorrow.
DVLA data shows total of 226 registered 240z of which 141 are SORN and 85 are taxed and presumably on the road. That’s all cars registered as 240z. The total has been increasing (imports!) for about 15 years suggesting the original UK survivors are more like 100-125 of which more than half SORN?
