Guys, it's such a shame when we have great weather for ages! Our local outdoor music festival (Stokefest) was today!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

JK, last year I had to dismantle a carb on the way remember?

See you all tomorrow.

Those who attended deserve recognition for their effort - well done!

Was the racing any good - I know Mr Barter was attending a wedding this weekend?

Yes today was much better than yesterday from reports! A good turn-out and it was great to meet up with Dale (and lovely little boy) and Stewart Middleton and son (not so young). We missed Steve and Hilary and hope that they will be back next year.

Also thank you to Rich for organising things in Steve's absence.

We were parked next to the Imp guys and for me that was superb - I had two Imps, drove on rallies in one and had a Sunbeam Stiletto as my everyday car.

As usual I stayed until the end of racing.

Twas a great day!... Great to see everyone again and meet some new faces.

Seemed the cake was a hit so I'll ask the Mrs to make two next time!.. aye Rob...;).. haha.

Good fun following Jake. Somehow we ended up on a single track country road (Jake's Sat Nav has a "Mystery Route" option instead of "Avoid Tolls"... haha.. always an adventure!..) culminating in me coming off the road into gravel on a bend to avoid oncoming!..

No photo's as per usual, I talk too much haha.. There is one at Watford Gap, Addison having his first lesson on carbs.. Jon, those white painted lines are parking bays..:)...

Thanks all for making Addison feel so welcome and thanks Richie for organising all.

For those who enjoyed the 1st historic touring car race (Cortina, Minis, Imps etc) the 2nd race (last of the day) saw a white Mustang having to take avoiding action when the yellow Cortina slowed more than usual when braking for the chicane (Hislops). The Mustang ran over the high kerb and was launched into the air and it collided with the Cortina - both cars eliminated.

Guys, I was saying on Monday that my Sam was good on fuel (for triple carbs) and that it was probably doing 25-30.

I've worked it out today more accurately - 24 mpg.
