Buy my spare ignition barrel, that will get you on the road. Just dont leave it unattended as the doors wont lock!

And even if she did have door locks they won't stop anyone with a screwdriver and 1.3 seconds to spare to get into the car - so just buy Russ's and get motoring big Don!

Yh or a thin blade to pop the locks up.

I think I am going to get a proper alarm fitted anyway with tracker possibly.

Not happy with the alignment of the front buckets with the adjustment screws!

So doing them again properly!

FFS!!!

Wiring should be back in the correct place now!

Not sure about where the no. Plate lights are supposed to be ir where they have gone.

Any info appreciated on that please.

Where do they plug into?

I can not find the parts of the loom for that either.

Its a 2+2 so a few options as to how they were.

1- Light unit bolted to the bumper shining up at the number plate. Do you still have the bumper and are you using it?
2 - A plastic housing above the number plate between the rear light panels, just below the boot catch.
3- Both of the above

The loom you mentioned will have been pushed into the car so it could be painted or worse...cut. Likely in the spare wheel well now!

Unless based on the photo you posted you mean the front number plate in which case the answer is a simple - Its not lit.

Back number plate I have the housing over the rear plate.

But I do not know where the bulb holders and loom have gone for this.

Does anyone know where they are supposed to plug into?

So Dom, mine had the bumper pointing up lights and the housing you mentioned shining down but without the innards.

If you have bumper based lights you won't have anywhere to plug the wires into on the one above the number plate.

Try here FSM I assume the wiring is the same on a 2+2 - just longer ;)

The page in the manual is a fold out to fit the extra 2m of cable on the diagram

Mine has both lights, although the bumper ones are no longer mounted, the plastic housing above the no plate is wired in on mine and nothing for the bumper option
no idea if that's how it came or a previous owner fiddled with it!

Was any of it connected at all when you got the car?

It didn't have a rear bumper and had the widebody kit etc. The chances that the original loom was cut up and some other number plate lighting solution implemented is pretty high.

If the wires arent there, then the easiest thing to do is take a splice from the sidelight power in the rear clusters to power, make a bracket inside the units and mount a couple of these in - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/501-W5W-...hash=item33d3381130:m:m5GOfoGqYK3vs0ihX3QSIlw

viola - sorted for less than a fiver.

Otherwise you need to scour the internet for the correct light unit which will be fun!

Well I have the over number plate light unit.

Just no wiring!

But whilst under the car today I found some wiring running fron the petrol filler cap side under the spare wheel well under the car! It stops in the middle and has nothing plugged into it, just bullet connectors and spade connectors on ten end...

I am guessing this could be it?????

Any ideas?

Is the wiring supposed to be under the car?

Some work I done today:
